Empire Strikes Back Director Irvin Kershner Dies at 87

Irvin Kershner, the director of The Empire Strikes Back (and camp classic The Eyes of Laura Mars), has died after a long illness. He was 87 and will be missed far more than the Ewoks or Jar Jar Binks.

‘Avatar: The Exhibition’ heading to sci-fi museum – Art, Arts & Entertainment –

Avatar: The Exhibition, a museum show of artifacts, props and costumes from the all-time biggest blockbuster film, will go on display at Seattle’s Science Fiction Museum from June 4, 2011 through September 3, 2012.
